Hong Kong

IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE

The Shatin inn is a really ghetto restaurant that is located very remotely in Tai Wai.

It’s a 10 minute walk from the Tai Wai MTR station but it’s pure uphill, and on a very hot sunny hong kong day (just like the day we went there) you will be sweat like crazy.

Unless you are driving.

How was the food? The rendang was fucking delicious. Love the sauciness of it. With some rice, my gosh heaven.

The veggie dish seems kind of out of place in my opinion……but someone (ahem) ordered it…

We also ordered skewers because we wanted to eat skewers. Duh. They were satayed up. Yum. We ordered the chicken and beef.

Don’t order the beef. It was too tough.

Order the chicken, it was alright. 6

Not kidding when I said this place was located in the middle of nowhere huh?

This is more or less the interior of the restaurant. As you can see, it’s outdoors. You can also see there are no air conditioners. There’s a couple of fans.

So this is probably not an ideal place to go on a hot sunny day. Really not. But I can fancy coming here during winter. It is pretty local after all, so it’s an experience in itself.
