What a great picture. I didn’t take this one! Actually don’t remember who took it…..so I am sorry. Anyways, we went to another local shanghai restaurant called Yuan Yuan. The address for the one we went to (i think there’s a couple of them) is No.201 Xingguo Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai, China (Hengshan Road). This was a recommended restaurant, so we decided to try it out. There was a lot of locals here, and we had to wait till 8PM till we got a table so I guess it is pretty popular.
We ordered a lot of Shanghai dishes, including the ham(??) wrapped in veggie dish, and the famous shanghai dish (Fatty Pork Dish? I only know what it’s called in Chinese … but you can find it on the menu since there are pictures).
Yeah, it was pretty fatty. I am not a big fan of this dish, but my other team members loved it. Who said girls can’t eat? Interior / atmosphere of the restaurant was typical. The decor didn’t exactly jump out at me, but the meals are shanghai authentic since there were so many locals there. It is a little bit pricey though, but if you have some extra cash then give it a try!
