Another Indian Restaurant that we tried whilst working in Shanghai. Huge mistake. We were going to visit the sure win Saffron, but we saw on the internet that they were closed down?? I don’t know. I just googled it and it seems like they are still up and running. Will give them a call next time to confirm.
But since we were unsure, we decided to go to another Indian restaurant called Masala Art
They claim to be the most authentic and popular indian restaurant in Shanghai. I will have to respectfully disagree.
Saffron is wayyyyyyyyyyyy better.
The curry (both lamb and veggies) were not really hot (i.e. temperature wise), and it was not as flavorful was Saffron’s.
We also ordered Naan because we are Naan lovers, and yeah it wasn’t good either. The Naan was too thick..while the ones at Saffron was thin yet it still had texture when you eat it.
Yeah was not impressed with Masala Art. Don’t think we will come back again.
