Top 3 reasons why you should play Mah Jong! (The benefits)

Last night I played Mah Jong with a couple of my buddies, for about 6 hours. And I must say I could’ve kept playing!
Mah Jong for those that don’t know is a old game that originated from China.  I will not attempt to explain the rules or strategies of the game since I am no expert.  Instead, I want to talk about the benefits of playing this great game!

The first reason, is that this is a great time killer! Like I mentioned above, we played for a good 6 hours without even knowing it.  So for those that wants to find an activity where you can just kill an afternoon away easily, this is the game for you!

Secondly, it’s a great opportunity for friends to gather.  Not only are you having fun together, but you tend to talk about your daily lives, interesting things that are going on in the world, and just talk about random topics that comes to mind.  In my opinion, in today’s world there isn’t a lot of opportunities that allows people to just converse in that way, for that amount of time.  We are so used to just talking on our smart phones, laptops that I feel like the human interaction aspect of it is gone.

Thirdly and lastly, this game keeps your mind sharp! It’s a strategic game in which you have to figure out what tiles your opponents need and want, and what tiles you need for your own victory.    It’s definitely a great brain exercise activity, as I was definitely exhausted at the end of the night.

If you are interested in learning more I suggest you google about this fabulous game!
