It’s so collllldddddd in Toronto right now. Sooo coolllddd….so when the mother said let’s go get some dumplings I’m like hell yeah!! But since I have lost touch with the Toronto eatery scene, I didn’t know where to go. So i just listened to my mother. And she told me to drive to this place called the “Chinese Dumpling House”, located at 3636 Steeles Avenue East, in Markham.
Once we arrived, I realized I recognized this place and recalled it was not too bad. We of course first ordered the dumplings, because that was the point of coming here. We also ordered our favorite, the hot and sour soup:
The soup was my favorite. Well hot and sour soup is one of my favorites to begin with, but I haven’t had a good hot and sour sou pin a llooonnggg time. And this was, without a doubt, one of the best tasting ones. I recommend everyone to order a bowl of this delicious soup. Also, when it’s -40 outside this type of soup will light up your day like no other way =). Not even exaggerating.
Soup and dumplings alone would not fill us up, so we ordered a bowl of beef noodles too. It was okay. Not the best to be honest. Shanghai people don’ t make beef noodles like Taiwan people, unfortunately. Would not order this again. Probably go for something more shanghai-ish next time.
Yes you can probably tell from the picture it was not the best dish out of the three. My mistake. My bad.
It was impossible for me to take a picture with the entire chinese name of the restaurant. Because of the angle I was standing. Perhaps I could have walked back a bit to get the full picture. But it was cold, so you will have to live with it.
It’s soooo coooldddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd.
