Book Review: The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins…

1

The novel is written from the perspective of three women, Rachel (alcoholic divorcee), Anna (Women that had an affair with Rachel’s husband), Megan (blonde that dies).

There’s more to the characters of course, but I am not going to ruin the endings for you guys.

I give this book 3 / 5 stars.  I don’t think I am much of a thriller guy, so maybe that’s why the ratings were a bit lower.  I had a hard time getting into the novel…actually I had trouble getting into the first half.

Only was I sort of hooked in the latter half of the story.  There are twists and turns in the plot, although I was able to guess how the story ended.  Despite this, the book got great reviews so if you like thrillers give it a try??

  1. I agree with you – I read it and forgot about it again. As you said, it’s not a real thriller, I find the main character annoying, I don’t think that you can see that much while sitting on a train and the ending is just so cliche (yes, let’s kill him together). So thanks, but no thanks.
