We were checking out Mardi Gras the other day in Sydney, until we got HUNGRY and decided to find some food. We didn’t make any reservations, nor did we have an idea as to what we wanted to eat. We just decided to get HUNGRY first and then decide.
THANK GOODNESS WE DID THAT!! We wounded up at a very f*cking delicious restaurant called The Commons (http://thecommons.com.au), which is ANYTHING but common. This damn delicious place is a local eating house that cooks dishes based on the seasonal ingredients. One of the main specials that was available when we got there was the spaghetti with beef, drowned in tomato sauce and mushrooms. Of course I ordered that dish.
And I was not disappointed!!!. Hands down one of the better pasta dishes I have had in Sydney. I will definitely come back to try this dish.
The ambiance was also very nice, they had a cozy patio situated just outside the restaurant so even if you don’t want to eat, you can still grab a drink here.
Service was friendly, price was about right for a restaurant located in downtown Sydney. Yep, definitely worth a return trip here!
