ANNIVERSARY DINNER AT DON ALFONSO 1890

Happy anniversary to me and life boss!

Okay so it’s not really our anniversary. It was the day before our anniversary.

So why did we celebrate early?

Because I fucked up lol. I booked an event with my client on the same day of the anniversary – honest mistake although our wedding date is written on our rings haha.

Fail.

Oh well.

To make up for it I decided to take life boss to a fine dining, michelin starred restaurant called Don Alfonso 1890. They wouldn’t let me reserve a table at 630 – instead they gave me a 5PM booking.

I was like the what the fuck, that’s so early.

But as we began to dine I realized why. It’s a 8 course meal here. We spent 3.5 hours eating.

Yes I probably should have done more research beforehand. Didn’t know we could order a la carte. But given this was our first time we were going to choose the tasting menu. I won’t be able to regurgitate what we ate, though a couple of plates stood out:

  • Ice cream eel – this was a first. Delicious.
  • Bison meat – this was a first (I think). Delicious
  • Risotto – we added this on for 60 bucks. Delicious. Although life boss complained there was not enough truffle taste. ???. Huh? That shit was full of truffles.

I also ordered the wine pairing option. Fuck my life. Worse decision ever. I died by the 4th pairing. To make things worse, I also ordered an “appertif” because I thought I was fancy as shit.

Nope. I got drunk in a fine dining restaurant. So classy Choi.
