Choi’s Cooking Episode 5 – Beef Mushroom Tomato Sauce Spaghetti

So far, my favorite dish.  Was always in love with mushrooms, beef, tomato sauce and pasta.  Originally I was going to do hot dog night, but wasn’t feeling it for some odd reason.  VERY ODD.  I was looking forward to it the whole week, and then BAM!  My mind told me let’s do something else.  Walked around the super market, and basically picked up what I wanted to eat.  Which like I said, resulted in the title of this post, Beef Mushroom Tomato Sauce Spaghetti =)

Making this was really simple.  First  boil the spaghetti in boiling water (remember to add salt!) for about 8 – 10 minutes.  Remember to stir, or it may stick to your pot.  After about 8 minutes, try a piece to make sure it’s firm but not cold and hard.

Drain the spaghetti of it’s water and put it on a plate.  Next, start cooking the minced meat.  Very easy to tell when it’s cooked, just see when the colors change from red to brown.  About 3/4 in, I dumped all my chopped mushrooms into the pan.   I had a lot of mushrooms:

haha.  I love mushrooms so whatever.  I stirred and mixed for about 2 -3 minutes, then added the tomato sauce in (yes I know, i bought the sauce from the supermarket).  From here it’s easy going! Just keep stirring, and wait a bit until the sauce is boiled.  Then it’s perfect!

Pour this delicious sauce over the spaghetti and voila!! Spaghetti under 20 minutes!
