BEST BAK KUT TEH IN SINGAPORE: RONG HUA

I am on a mission.

My mission is to eat all the Bak Kut Teh’s in Singapore YAHSSSS.

I have already tried Song Fa and Founders, but still haven’t had enough of this delicious dish. Therefore on my second last day in Singapore, I decided to leave the office, jump into a cab to the nearest Rong Hua Bak Kut Teh restaurant for lunch.

Yes I cabbed to another restaurant for lunch, that is how dedicated I am on this mission.

Per some food blogs, this restaurant has some good Bak Kut Teh. So I was a bit shocked when I saw how empty this place was. Maybe because it was in the Marina Square mall? Maybe not a lot of people go there for lunch?

I don’t know, regardless, I sat down and ordered Bak Kut Teh among other dishes (because I was hungry as fuck).

I ordered a large bak kut teh because I can.

mmmmmm how to evaluate it…..firstly the soup base was quite watered down. So I was super disappointed. I wanted that peppery flavor that I got from Song Fa, but this was one just didn’t hit the spot. The pork though was quite tender, much better than Founder’s. So I guess it saved some points here.

BUT the best dish of this meal has gotta be that chicken feet dish. Damn delicious. They use this super nice sauce which made the chicken feet damn flavorful.

Yes I know some of you think chicken feet is disgusting.

But I am asian so I love that shit.
