Question: Would you guys eat a dirty restaurant even if it has good food?
This was the question that was in my head when we were eating at this famous Banh Xeo restaurant called Ba Duong.
Hold up Choi, what the hell is Banh Xeo.
Good question.
It’s basically pork sausage wrapped in a pancake wrapped in rice paper.
Really?
Yeah, something like that anyways.
When we arrived I immediately knew this was a local place.
How did I know?
Just look at the state of the restaurant:
Two words.
Utter chaos.
As you can see, garbage is everywhere. Paper, pieces of meat, vegetables, unknown liquids, everywhere. It’s as if they are trying to conquer the entire restaurant.
Not appetizing at all.
But usually these places means 1 thing.
The food has to be good.
So with a deep breath, we went in, fought for a seat and began to order Banh Xeo (it’s the only shit they had).
- The sausages was so damn delicious. So flavorful. Combined with the crispy pancake and rice paper you have a perfect sausage wrap. Though I am not a big fan of the rice paper. Felt like I was eating cardboard. But those are just details. Overall, really good dish.
I want to give this place the YUM meme.
But can’t really get myself to do it….
The place just wasn’t that clean.
I think even though my taste buds were saying FUCK this is good. Mentally I am checking out when I see toilet paper being kicked around as if it was the world cup.
So guys, what do you think? Would you eat a restaurant with questionable hygiene? Let me know!
