We were severely disappointed with the food in Myanmar.
Don’t think we had ONE good meal yet there. So I didn’t really have much hopes until we ate a couple of fabulous meals at the 19th street.
Getting my hopes high, Life Boss took me a cafe called Rangoon Tea house for lunch. One glance at trip advisor and I was super excited about this potential, epic, delicious meal.
Yes at this point you can tell that I was super desperate for some god damn good food! It feels like it’s been forever since we had good, edible food. Why is that? Is it because we don’t know where to go? Looking in the wrong areas?Or is it because we look like damn tourists so the locals just wants to rip us off?
I don’t know. I just hope Rangoon Tea House does not do that shit to us.
Best Restaurant in Yangon.
That’s right. We sat down and Choi already knew this shit was going to be good!
Rangoon tea house is a hybrid of Hindu and Burmese food. I love Hindu / Indian food. Let’s do this shit!
- I started off with a dragon fruit shake because why the fuck not. It’s not often you get to drink dragon fruit shakes (at least I have never seen it). This was DAMN GOOD.
- The main that Choi got. Chicken Biryani. Love this Chicken Biryani. So soft. So tender. Just writing this makes me so damn hungry (I am fasting at the moment).
- Life boss got some noodle dish with crab. Think it was good. Don’t know. I was too pre-occupied with my own epic Biryani Chicken meal.
- And finally, we got the “Praya” which is basically lentil soup with Roti. Another fabulous dish.
The food was fucking good.
I don’t know if it’s because we haven’t had good food in awhile while traveling in Myanmar, but man we downed this meal like there was no tomorrow.
Everything was delicious.
Service was good.
I have nothing to complain.
Best restaurant in Yangon (and potentially Myanmar).
