My friend Eric was in town the other day, and we were chatting about what to eat for lunch. Then this place called “Sun Hing” popped up, and apparently was reallllly good. I was kind of skeptical at first, not really a bit dim sum fan. Feel like I never get full from Dim Sum, all little dishes.
But this place,
Mouth is watering.
This place is authentic in a Hong Kong kind of way. Why? Because there are no waiters / waitresses that will lead you to a table. No, you literally have to stand beside a table and watch people eat, hoping they finish as soon as possible.
Place was soooo packed, I felt like I was having dim sum on the MTR during peak hour. I was afraid of going to the washroom, because the minute I get up someone might just sit down to take my place. So my tip is once you sit down, you don’t stand up until you have over stuffed yourself in a good kind of way.
The dim sum was really fresh, as you can order it right when it comes out of the kitchen. Like a typical Hong Kong restaurant, you just need to yell really loud and then the store employees will get you your food. But because everyone is yelling you probably won’t get heard, so yell even harder =p.
We ordered about 15 dim sum dishes, all for $200HKD. My gosh.
