What do you think about when you think of Cuba?
For me, I think of rum, cigars, and HORSEBACK RIDING!
….that is not me by the way. It’s one of my asshole friends that went to Cuba with me.
And Okay to be fair I don’t really think of horseback riding. I think of all inclusive resorts haha.
But my horseback riding experience in Vinales definitely changed this! Though it should be noted there are no resorts in Vinales.
How to organize a horseback riding session?
Good question. You won’t be able to ride a horseback ride if you don’t have a horse. And unless you are a fucking boss and own your own ranch you probably need to rent a horse.
Well the best way to get at this, is to simply ask your air bnb host. Vinales is a small town where everyone knows each other. So your host will have the connections to set up for whatever your heart desires, which should be horseback riding damn it.
But Choi is it expensive?
Are you stupid? This is CUBA! Everything is cheap!
I don’t remember the exact cost but yeah, it’s NOT EXPENSIVE.
Why you should horseback ride in Vinales.
Is to take in the beautiful scenery. Surrounded by mountains and tobacco farm, I guarantee this an experience you will not forget. I am going to stop wasting your time with my useless rambles, and show of my sexy photos taken by my sexy camera:
So gorgeous. I hope you really get a chance to visit.
Rum Farm
Your horseback riding tour should include a visit to the rum farm. If not then well you are out of luck.
Learned / drink a bit about rum (its free!). Not usually a rum fan but man this shit was fucking smooth. Downed it like nothing. We got a bottle and brought it to Toronto. It was no longer there after 2 days. So good.
Also ordered an additional delicious drink called Chingchantra. Definitely hit the spot on a hot summer day.
